Personal History | Felix Ford was born and raised on Denobula, the youngest of three children. The planet was so overpopulated the family shared an apartment with two other human families, and Ford learned to treasure personal space and solitude above anything else. Not that he was a recluse - he had many friends, and developed his love for climbing as he's explore his city and its neighbors with his friends. Climbing led to developing an interest in gymnastics and parkour, which led to many trips to medical facilities over the years as he strengthened his skills. These frequent visits led to a vocational interest in medicine. He was more interested in the hands-on aspects of treatment over the tediousness of diagnosis and administration, so he decided to pursue training as a paramedic. Longing to leave his crowded homeworld and see what else was out there, he decided to enlist with Starfleet to travel the stars. having spent his entire life on one planet, he also hoped to transfer assignments frequently so he would never be forced to stay in the same place for too long. Being enlisted also meant he wasn't tied to Starfleet for an indefinite length of time. So far his experience in Starfleet has been just that. He's enjoyed a variety of assignments and experiences, casual friendships and casual flings. Enlisted quarters have been an upgrade from his civilian life. He's met diverse life and discovered diverse cuisine. He's living the life he's always wanted, which is why he's not sure what to make of the steady but growing unease he's been feeling the last few months. Something more than a desire for a new berth or even change in career.... what could it be? |
